The Next New Thing

If there is one thing that you can count on for the younger generations, its that trends come and go. We are constantly changing our interest and adapting to the next big thing. Weather its clothing, hairstyles, or whatever beverage Starbucks is currently selling, all of out interest eventually change. The media that we consume is no different, especially with the rate in which technology keeps advancing. I believe that the next big trend in media is going to be virtual reality. VR is a newly emerging platform that show promise in many different forms of entertainment. VR is very big in gaming companies and in the film industry. Many companies are taking advantage of the current VR craze and has started developing easy to make VR headsets. Phone companies like Samsung and google have made an inexpensive headset that can be sold along side their smart phones. Beside entertainment purposes VR can be utilized in a number of different ways. Education, relaxation, & businesses could all make use of VR headsets. There is no telling exactly how long and new media trend will last but i am confident that VR is going to be the next big one.
